During Pregnancy, the body experiences emotional, hormonal and physical changes. Some of the physical developments can cause difficulties throughout the pregnancy. However, a lot of these discomforts can be resolved by all our highly trained Physiotherapists who treat pelvic and thoracic-rib related dysfunctions that are due to the baby’s growth and related postural changes; ligament laxity with the release of the hormone relaxin; and core muscle weakness including the pelvic floor.
At PhysioMotion's therapists all have specialist knowledge related to the issues that pregnancy and child birth can cause. Our services include:
  • Holistic assessment and treatment of any musculoskeletal issues related to pregnancy
  • Ante & post-natal Pilates
  • Ante & post-natal exercise programs and return to sport regimes
  • Real time ultrasound imaging assessment of pelvic floor and abdominal core muscles
  • Rectus diastasis assessment and treatment
  • Lactation (breast feeding): treating breast pain and mastitis prevention
