Panda Li - Physiotherapist & Partner
Panda is an Australian / Chinese Physiotherapist who came back to Hong Kong & China in 1998 to further her Mandarin studies. She graduated in 1996 with a Bachelor of Physiotherapy (La Trobe University) from Melbourne, Australia and a Graduate Diploma in Ergonomics and Injury Prevention (University of Queensland) Australia in 2004. In addition, she has completed multiple post graduate courses to ensure the most recent and relevant physiotherapy techniques and advances including Pilates core rehabilitation.
Since then, Panda has worked in private practice treating a variety of musculoskeletal conditions initially specializing in sports and spinal injuries. This basis formed an integral part in her success with her role as Hong Kong physiotherapist to elite level athletes at a variety of sporting events including Sydney Olympics 2000, South East Asian Swimming Championships 1999, Watson”¦s Women's Tennis Challenge and Hong Kong Rugby 7's. She has also been team physiotherapist for the Hong Kong ”„A”¦Men's 7' & 15's and Women's 7's rugby teams, and Hong Kong Football Club division 1 men”¦s rugby team.
In the last few years, she has developed a special interest in the lumbo-pelvic area and the role of this in relation to other orthopaedic conditions such as knee pain, hip pain, lower back pain and re-current muscular strains, and women's health (pre / post partum).

Abby Yek Cheung - Physiotherapist & Partner
A British born Chinese, Abby is a UK trained Physiotherapist (Bsc (Hons) Physio) and Hong Kong trained acupuncturist (Dip. Clinical Acupuncture) who is fluent in both English and Cantonese.
After working in the UK, she moved to Hong Kong in 1998 and has worked in private practice treating a variety of clinical cases specializing in mainly musculoskeletal conditions. Her role as team physiotherapist for the Hong Kong Rugby Under 19”¦s team and senior physiotherapist at events such as the Hong Kong Rugby 7's, Watson's Water Tennis Challenge and the Hong Kong Golf Open highlights her abilities to treat elite athletes with expertise.
Dedicated to treating her patients skillfully and with the highest level of commitment, Abby ensures that she and the staff at PhysioMotion further develop their clinical skills using the most up to date treatment methods. This includes the use of real time ultrasound imaging techniques to view and retrain core stability muscles (Pilates).
At PhysioMotion, Abby is able to treat any musculoskeletal conditions using traditional physiotherapy techniques and acupuncture. Ailsa Robertson - Physiotherapist & Pilates Instructor
Ailsa Robertson is an Australian trained Physiotherapist who arrived in Hong Kong in 2007. Her passion for sport and exercise science lead her to complete her first degree: Bachelor of Applied Science (Exercise and Sport Science) from The University of Sydney in 2002. Her ambitious nature and desire to combine health with sport lead her to complete a Master of Physiotherapy also at The University of Sydney in 2004. As part of her Master's Degree, she completed her thesis on ”„The effect of shoulder taping on active movement discrimination after anterior dislocation”¦. Such expert knowledge has been imperative with her role as Team Physiotherapist for the Royal Australian Air Force National Rugby Team and for Sydney's Eastwood Rugby Club.
Her role as a Senior Physiotherapist over the last three years at the Australian Defence Force has exposed Ailsa to a mixed caseload of musculoskeletal, sports & spinal, orthopaedic, pre and post-surgical, occupational and military specific injuries. With such experience and as a keen sportswoman herself, Ailsa has developed a special interest in Sports Physiotherapy including injury prevention and rehabilitation; Pilates core stability retraining; spinal dysfunction and exercise prescription from elite athletes to pre / post partum mothers.

Melanie Miers ”V Physiotherapist & Pilates Instructor

Melanie is a British Physiotherapist who was born and raised in Hong Kong. In 1996, she completed her Bsc (Hons) in Physiotherapy in the United Kingdom and worked briefly there before returning to Hong Kong where she has embarked on an accomplished career in Physiotherapy.
Melanie is a keen athlete and has represented Hong Kong in hockey at an international level. This has given her personal in depth knowledge about the demands of high level sport and the role that injury management plays. She maximized these experiences when she was the team Physiotherapist to the Hong Kong Women”¦s and under 16”¦s Rugby teams; at international events such as the Hong Kong 7”¦s Rugby & Hong Kong Football Club 10”¦s Rugby Tournament, The Maclehose Trailwalker, Watson”¦s Water Tennis Challenge and the Hong Kong Squash Open.
Having worked predominantly in private practice, Melanie has extensive experience in dealing with orthopaedic sports and spinal issues whether with amateurs or elite level athletes. More recently, she has worked at the Matilda Hospital for the last five years treating a variety of cases from musculoskeletal problems to acute post surgical procedures as well as pre and post partum care. Melanie is also a certified Clinical Pilates instructor who focuses on specific individually targeted core stabilization exercise programs for athletes, those with spinal related problems or post partum mothers.

Julie Chu - Physiotherapist & Pilates Instructor

Julie is an Australian trained Physiotherapist who arrived in Hong Kong in 2009. She graduated from the University of Queensland, Australia in 1999 with a Bachelor of Physiotherapy. Since graduating, Julie has completed many other post graduate courses including a Certificate in Spinal Manual Therapy (Mulligan Concepts) and Continence and Women”¦s Health. More recently, Julie has developed a special interest in treating women”¦s health including pelvic floor dysfunction and urinary incontinence. Her career in Australia has spanned both the private practice sector as well as holding a Senior Physiotherapist post at a major Sydney hospital.
As a Physiotherapist who focuses on using manual techniques, Julie has highly developed skills in treating musculoskeletal conditions including spinal dysfunction, sports injuries and post surgical cases. Her focus on rehabilitation includes specific exercise prescription including core stability programs for many types of problems including women”¦s health and pelvic floor retraining.

Kirsty McClelland - Physiotherapist
Kirsty is an Australian Physiotherapist from Melbourne, Australia who has lived in Asia since 2000 and Hong Kong since 2004. She graduated from Melbourne University (Australia) in 1994 with a Bachelor of Physiotherapy (honours) and has since also completed many post graduate courses including Pilates core stability retraining. Most of her career has been in the specialized field of cardio-thoracic physiotherapy where she held the post of Senior Physiotherapist in Monash Medical Centre, Australia (1997-2000) and in Singapore at the National University Hospital (2000-2003). In addition, she was employed as a childbirth educator at the Monash Medical Centre (Australia) teaching ante & post natal classes.
Kirsty's more recent interest has been in the field of Pilates core stability rehabilitation and exercise especially for women's health issues including pre/post natal strengthening. Her background as a Physiotherapist and childbirth educator gives her unparalelled experience in this area and she will be conducting most of our ante & post natal Pilates classes. Also, her passion for tennis, outdoor activities and netball ensure that she has great understanding of core strengthening for athletes.

Elissa Whittington - Myotherapist

Elissa Whittington is an Australian Myotherapist from Melbourne who has been practicing in Hong Kong since 1998. She has an Advanced Diploma of Applied Science (Myotherapy) from University of Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology and a Level 3 Dr. Vodder Combined Decongestive Therapy (CDT) in manual lymphatic drainage. As a Myotherapist, she specialises in the treatment and management of soft tissue related dysfunctions including lymphatic drainage, sports massage, pre and post natal conditions, muscular imbalances associated with spinal pain, and chronic muscular tightness from poor posture. Elissa has also had extensive experience with athletes being a keen cyclist herself and having worked at the Australian Institute of Sport (AIS).

| Arlene Mackinlay - Massage Therapist & Pilates Instructor |
Arlene Mackinlay joined PhysioMotion in 2009. She qualified in 2001 with a Bachelor of Science in Physical Therapy from Emilio Aguinaldo College, Manila, Philippines. Immediately after graduation, she practiced in musculoskeletal and neurological rehabilitation. Since living in Hong Kong, Arlene has been working as a massage therapist pending her registration as a Physiotherapist and she will continue this role at PhysioMotion. Her Physiotherapy training ensures that Arlene is able to provide the highest level of care from pregnancy related issues to muscular aches. She is able to use techniques ranging from deep sports massage, Swedish deep tissue therapy and myofascial release techniques.
In addition, Arlene is a certified Clinical Pilates Instructor and is also available to develop a core stability and exercise program to suit your needs.

| Hannemari De Jager - Exercise Physiologist & Pilates Instructor |
Hannemari De Jager is an Accredited Exercise Physiologist from South Africa and came to Hong Kong in 2008. Her first degree was a Bachelor of Science in Sport and Exercise Technology (Tshwane University of Technology, South Africa). Upon graduation, she felt that her passion lay in exercise rehabilitation and she went on to do her second Bachelor of Science degree in Biokinetics also at Tshwane University of Technology. In South Africa, Hannemari worked closely with physiotherapists and biomechanists to help people regain full physical health.
At PhysioMotion, Hannemari”¦s role as an exercise physiologist is to help people achieve physical and nutritional health through exercise. Exercise Physiology involves prescribing specific exercise programs for people from all levels of health and fitness. This ranges from sub-acute sports injuries and post orthpopaedic surgery to elite level athletes looking for more specificity in their training regimes. In addition, Hannemari is experienced in the management of chronic disease problems such as diabetics, heart disease and obesity through exercise. She has also worked with special populations such as children, elderly and stroke patients.
Hannemari has represented South Africa as a teenager in Squash and she has competed at high levels since. Her competitive spirit and knowledge of biomechanics offers PhysioMotion clients individualized personal training, swim coaching, Pilates and hydrotherapy.

Alexandra Duff ”V Podiatrist
Alexandra is a UK trained Podiatrist who arrived in Hong Kong in 2007. She graduated from Leicester University in 1996 with a BSc (Hons) Podiatry. In 1999, she completed postgraduate qualifications in Education (University of Wolverhampton) and in 2006, she attained a MSc in Diabetes (Roehampton University). Since graduating, Alexandra has had an accomplished career in all facets of Podiatric Medicine and has worked in the National Health Service including the post of Chief Podiatrist at Darent Valley Hospital in the UK. This position and her extensive resume led to her role as visiting lecturer at Greenwich University from 2002-2007.
As a Podiatrist, Alex has also taught biomechanics and orthotic manufacture at an undergraduate level, which proved invaluable when working in private practice dealing with biomechanical problems relating to the lower leg and pelvic girdle. Such insight and focus on injury prevention, ensures application of the most current evidence based practice for the benefit of her patients. This holistic approach integrates the biomechanics of the lower limb and its relation to the lower back and pelvic girdle perfectly.

Gary Lam ”V Doctor of Podiatric Medicine |
Gary is an American trained Doctor of Podiatric Medicine who came back to Hong Kong in July 2008. He graduated from the University of California, Berkeley with a Bachelor degree of Molecular Cell Biology. After realizing that his passion lay in healthcare, he furthered his study in USA and obtained a Doctoral degree of Podiatric Medicine from the California College of Podiatric Medicine in 2005 . Due to his outstanding achievements, he won an award of excellence and received the ”„Fund for Podiatric Education Scholarship”¦.
After graduating from podiatric medical school, he completed a three-year podiatric medicine and surgical residency in 2008 at the Veteran Affairs Hospital in Palo Alto and Northern California Kaiser Medical Center, USA. Such qualifications are a prerequisite to be a member of the American Board of Podiatric Surgeons. He is also an active member of the Association for the advancement of Wound Care, USA.
